Affiliate Disclosure
DesiSexGram is an independent review platform. Some of the links on this Site are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you click them and sign up, subscribe, or pay on the linked third-party platform — at no additional cost to you. This page explains how our affiliate relationships work, what they do and don’t influence, and the legal frameworks we follow.
What an affiliate link is
An affiliate link contains a tracking code that tells the destination platform we sent you. If you take a qualifying action on that platform (typically signing up for a free account or making a purchase), the platform pays us a commission. The amount you pay is the same whether you click our link or visit the platform directly.
What our affiliate relationships do not influence
- Our editorial ratings. A platform cannot pay for a higher rating. We score platforms using our public framework: privacy, safety, value, user experience, and regional access.
- Whether we publish negative findings. If a platform fails on safety, privacy, or value, we say so — even if they are an affiliate partner.
- Removal of negative content. We do not accept payment in exchange for removing negative review content. If a platform corrects a problem and asks for a re-review, we may update the article — but only based on verified improvements, not commercial pressure.
- Which platforms we cover. Coverage is based on relevance to our audience, not commission size. We have reviewed and will continue to review platforms whose affiliate programs pay less, or pay nothing at all.
What we will not do
- Disguise sponsored content as editorial
- Run advertorials without clear labelling
- Allow affiliate partners to write or pre-approve our reviews
- Recommend platforms we believe are unsafe, fraudulent, or illegal — at any commission level
- Recommend platforms that traffic in non-consensual content, copied content, or underage-appearing content
How we vet affiliate partners
Before joining any affiliate program, we evaluate the platform on the same criteria we use for editorial reviews. If a platform does not meet our minimum standards on safety, legitimacy, and consent compliance, we do not join its affiliate program — regardless of commission rate.
Sponsored content (if it ever exists)
If we publish content that has been sponsored or paid for in any way other than standard affiliate commission, that content will be clearly labelled at the top of the page. We currently do not publish sponsored content. If this changes, this disclosure will be updated, and individual sponsored pages will carry their own prominent disclosure.
How we disclose affiliate links
- This site-wide affiliate disclosure is available from the footer on every page
- Each review or comparison that contains affiliate links includes a disclosure statement at the top of the article
- Buttons and CTAs labelled “Visit official site” or similar are typically affiliate links
- Editorial content not containing affiliate links is not affected by this disclosure
Compliance with consumer protection laws
This disclosure complies with:

- Gesetz gegen den unlauteren Wettbewerb (UWG) — German unfair competition law, particularly §§ 5a and 6 on commercial communication transparency
- EU Digital Services Act requirements on transparency of paid content
- EU Unfair Commercial Practices Directive (2005/29/EC)
- UK CAP Code and ASA guidance on affiliate disclosure
- Australian Consumer Law requirements on testimonials and endorsements
